“ Yum! Came here for a family birthday. Surprisingly good! The food was fresh. The staff were attentive and nice. Clean place. ”
“ I go to this restaurant to threat friends n families. I love the food n fast, gentle service. ”
“ The service here is great. We came in and there was a waiting list. We were sitting down while waiting. This couple comes in and got seated down right away. I looked at the staff who sat them and told him we were there first. They were so apologetic. Another table had opened up, and they cleaned it up right away. They made up for the mistake the whole time we were there. They were very attentive, and they made sure the food came out hot and fast. Now for the food. There's two of us, and we ordered the small karekare, the fresh lumpia and sisig. The karekare is good. The meat is very tender. There were plenty of meat and vegetables eventhough it was a small. However, the sauce could be more peanut-y and thick. It was a little runny. Hands-down, Cafe Colma still has the best karekare. But for the price, I think it was good. The fresh lumpia was excellent. It was large and had plenty of vegetable filling inside. For the size of it though, we ran out of the sauce in the last third of the lumpia. So, if it had more sauce, it would be perfect! The sisig was good. No complaints on that. We decided to order the halo-halo with ube ice cream. I thought this one was a little expensive. $10.50 was a little steep. However, it definitely hit the spot. The restaurant was clean, and the decor was nice. Definitely not a hole in the wall restaurant, but not a very fancy sit down restaurant either. It was a casual filipino restaurant. The bill wasn't too bad either. $72 + tip for everything we got. We left with a third of the food, too. ”
“ This place has the BEST sizzling bangus sisig!!! So worth driving 45 minutes for. Their pinakbet the best too. The veggies are crunchy not overcooked. However this time we feel like it's missing bagoong, Service is always on point! Place is always clean. ”
“ I recommended this Filipino restaurant to my Chinese friends from YMCA classes. Some tasted lumpia but from a pot luck at work then. They liked the dining room. My other Filipino friend & I explained the Boracay white beach in the Philippines from the wall pictures and told about the other exotic resorts in the country. For family style, we ordered lumpiang shanghai, oxtail soup, bangus sisig, kare kare, sitaw at kalabasa, garlic rice. The service was impressively fast, even during a busy time. My friends said the food was authentic and packed with flavor especially the kare kare and sitaw at kalabasa. Exactly what you'd hope for from a good Filipino restaurant. Everything we tried was delicious. One friend ordered the calamansi juice for a drink. She liked it and said it tasted like lemon juice. Charles, the server, brought a small coconut cake (bibingka) with candle. Our birthday friend was so surprised especially when we started singing the birthday song. We ordered another dessert turon with ube ice cream. We also enjoyed it. The birthday friend wanted to pay for her share but we told her it was our treat. Again she was more surprised. Definitely recommend if you're looking for real, authentic Filipino food with quick and efficient service! ”
“ The food is always excellent. Generous portions and fair price. This place is our go to for authentic Filipino food in the bay. I highly recommend the following dishes: blackened rice, calamari, binagoongan fried rice, kare kare, bangus sisig, sinigang and bami noodles. As far as dessert, you can't go wrong with any of them. The service is a hit or miss depending on who is serving you. Majority of the time it is exceptional. I love the green mango shake. The ambiance takes you back to the Philippines. Parking is good. I wish there's one in southern Cali. ”
“ We started coming here months ago bec this is the only place we know that serves fresh lumpia. When we finally had it, it blew us away! What also impressed us was their kare kare, lechon kawali which has more meat and less fat layer, and few other old fave Filipino dishes were also so yummyyy!! The service has always been attentive, warm, and wonderful. We're happy to have found another favorite go-to Fil resto other than Patio Filipino that's for sure. We will be baaaaccckkk!! ”
“ came here for mother's day at around 11:30am. Food was delicious i enjoyed the lumpia and the sinigang. Service was ok, there seemed to only be 2 servers for the whole restaurant. ”
“ Yummy Filipino food with generous servings. A bit pricey as compared to other restaurants around tho. They have parking! :) ”
“ Boracay Garden & Grill is one of my favorite Filipino restaurants in the Bay Area - and there are so many of them! Parking might be limited, but they have a few parking spaces in both the ride and left side of the restaurant as well as street parking along the busy road. We were seated in a semi-private section of the restaurant (a great space for larger parties). The staff were amazing - always attentive, friendly, and fits the energy of "Boracay". We ordered the following dishes: - Inihaw na Liempo: The marinade was flavorful, perfectly grilled with a delicious vinaigrette sauce. It was not chewy or overcooked compared to other inihaw na liempo dishes from other restaurants. - Pork Sisig: The dish came out hot and sizzling. Not sure what type of pork was used, but I was not really fond of the cartilage (though I believe that's a more authentic ingredient). Despite that, it was still very tasty. - Binagoongan Rice: Probably my favorite dish here mainly because other Filipino restaurants don't serve this. I love the abundance in tomatoes and mango - a perfect match with the bagoong rice. - Seafood Palabok: Usually I prefer palabok to not be drowning in its sauce, but their palabok was delectable. The sauce flavor was not too overpowering. - Sinigang na Baboy: A Filipino restaurant with a perfect sinigang is a 5-star for me, and at Boracay, they nailed it! For me, judging the quality of sinigang really comes down to the sourness level and they did not hold back. It was a very tangy soup, just the way I (and many others) prefer it. - Halo Halo: What I really like about this Halo Halo is that it includes a variety of other Filipino desserts (pinipig, ube ice cream, ube halaya, and leche flan). Despite having all of these desserts incorporated in the Halo Halo, it was not too sweet (a compliment). Overall, I had a great time at Boracay. Their prices are amazing! The quantity and quality of their food are unmatched. Highly recommend! ”
